Interactive Groups
What is the Mount Olive Correctional Complex Mental Health Unit up to?
Therapist Stephanie Brown, MS, Psych Assistant Whitney Butler, and intern from WVU Counseling Master's program Mackenzie Mitchell have been getting creative in groups and the inmates seem to enjoy the interactive groups.
These Interactive groups are being done on topics, such as personal hygiene and also self-care. Another example, besides the photo shown above, is portion bottles were made out of construction paper in where there is a pocket for their self-care ideas. These are just two examples of the group facilitation that our team is engaging in.
By making the groups more interactive, participation is on the rise as well as enjoyment!
